Hey guys
I did the unforgivable thing a few months ago and traded my CLS550 for an Audi A7. One would think I'm heading in the wrong direction, but I seriously needed AWD and well that means Quattro and not 4matic. I absolutely love the A7 but it's not a CLS, but I finally have a great transmission. I will say the ZF takes forever to change from reverse into drive, only complaint. That w219 engine though, I appreciate it now so much since it's gone. Anyway I put a video up discussing both cars. Look into my eyes at the end and tell me if I'm lying to myself. Lol

Good video. The A7 is certainly prettier, IMO.
I'll be curious how you get on with it longer-term. I love these cars, but I'm terrified to own one with some miles on it and no warranty.

I totally agree we'll see! Lol
I actually like the Mercedes better. Looks like a sporty minivan.
I'm interested to see how you feel about the the "feel" of the cars long term. Every modern Mercedes I've been in feels like home. They do a very good job with that.
I know the CLS started the "4 door coupe," thing, but boy that CLS looks dated. A7 is prettier.
I was in Tokyo recently, and there are CLS wagons everywhere. Wish we got those here.

True, but 5.5 wasn't dated. Lol last of the Mohicans. I go back and forth on wagons though. The Panamera wagon is amazing!
In reply to mazdeuce - Seth :
Sporty Minivan lol they do feel like home. I've had 5
Have you looked into what APR has to offer for the 3 litre supercharged engine in the A7? I suspect it will make you miss the M273 V8 a lot less.

At first I was like, 'annual percentage rate?' thanks for putting on game! I just want to start with the plus package! Geez
I wonder how much you'd like a 2012 CLS550 vs the 2012 A7
In reply to yupididit :
Hum idk but I'm not a fan of the 4.7 biturbo

Carbon build up on the back side of the valves. If you don't drive them right the heads have to come off to clean them which is an $11k job. Plus I never like that the CLS became slower with the newer motor. 5.5 0-60=4.7 < 4.7t 0-60=5.4
The 4.7t could definitely be modified more though. I didn't like the side hip on the newer CLS and the loss of rear climate control. The wheels were also no longer staggered, no 285/35/18 rears.
My boss offered his CLS63 for sale, I’m to poor at this point I think. It’s a pretty car in my opinion.
I never warmed up to the CLS compared to the E Class.
The butts on the CLS are nice, but everything else is better on the E Class.
