Cool cars for less money than a Playstation 3

I've been wanting a PS3 for ages but I can't over the idea that the roughly $500 could be spent other ways, like on any of the project cars I found during a 5 minute search on Kijiji.

PS3s are 300 now.

i guess the best 'sporty car' ive bought for under 300 was a 95 neon sport sedan sohc/5spd.

also, i bought a much nicer firebird than that for $400. I still hated it, so i flipped it for $1200 and made another ~$1k working on it for the next guy and he sold it for $2k.

Gran Turismo 5 (the full version) is supposed to be out in March. $80 for the game, $300 for the console and one controller, $50 for another controller, add in taxes...

I'm hoping my wife would prefer me playing Playstation in the den over washing crusty Toyota Supra pieces in the kitchen sink.

I once bought a running/drivable 87 Porsche 944 for $400.

April Fools Day is a date I heard (actually March 30) but that is, as always, conjecture until I get the disc in my hand.

I will not buy a PS3 until GT5 comes out, but by then GT6 would be a month overdue.

Games are traditionally $60, unless you buy some wild special edition with extra BS.

Another $20 to buy dinner and a 6pack when the wife goes to her mothers?
