What's the coolest 4 door money can buy?

I'm thinking

Modern: (most years) Subaru WRX STI

Retro: '80 Mercedes 450 SEL

Vintage: '64 Lincoln Continental

But what does the collective have to say?

Mint 1996 Impala SS. Those car help legitimize 4 door cars as performance vehicles in the US.

RX8 is more like a 2.5 door

E34 M5 would probably top my list. That, or a Lotus Carlton.

I think Evos are cooler than WRX, so those.

EVO 9 is the "coolest" Evo that was sold here.

Unlike a Charger these have manuals. That is a VXR8 Bathurst Edition which is basically a Pontiac G8 with a supercharger.

2 door cars are so rare now that there will be tons of 4 door choices.

The primered and mismatched-colored four-door Dart sleeper that blew our doors off years ago.

The only cars that should have two doors are the ones that only have two seats.

Now, are we talking cool as in visually cool, or cool as in performance cool? Also, this will vary from generation to generation. A solidly operable 40s era sedan is going to be cool now simply because it is a solidly operable 40s sedan in 2015, but it was the Camcord of its day.

I still like the modern Chrysler 300 series for visually cool.

Or, hm, maybe those count as 5-doors.

The hammer is the coolest classic four-door. Coolest modern one, though? It would have to be the current-gen XJR.

I've always thought the old Jaguar XJ6's were a darn good looking 4-door.
