Here's the source article: http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2014/01/06/corvette-getting-built-in-camera-performance-computer/?intcmp=features

For discussion sake, curious whether the "hive" thinks this is a good idea or not. I'm going out on a limb here and saying no. I know its a stereotype, but I think there's something to the idea that its very easy to get "in over your head" with a Vette, especially now that they are capable of so quickly jumping into triple digits. I suspect this option will get ticked on a lot of purchase orders for people who have no intention of track driving their cars. Possible end result: what I'd call the "high score" phenomenon. (I've read that a substantial number of the high speed/fatal wrecks on the 'Ring have running lap timers in the car. Similar idea.)

Discuss.

I agree and will add that I would not want to add high res gps and a camera to the things that people (onstar) potentially have remote access to along with throttle angle.

+1

My first thought was who will be the first to have their warranty voided.

The OP raises a good point as well.
