Close enough for me, not as pretty, yes it's a separate program, but it seems to work ok...

searchtempest.com is back to what I'm using, a little harder to use versus craiglook, but what can you do.

Edit: I also just searched and found http://www.crazedlist.org/# and http://craigzoom.com/

either do not have a mile radius searcher though.

That's why it's CraigsPal for me, it's VERY similar to Craiglook with essentially all the same features...

I've been emailing craig, of craigslist for the past week, seems like the biggest problem they are having with the various search engine sites is that they drive up their server bandwidth, thus them sending out cease and desist letters.

i'm trying craigspal, its no craig look though, not the same features, I want to find another search engine that goes from my zip to whatever distance I put in to their zip, in whatever state listing.

Annoying canoe emailing me about the thread I made months ago about this and asking me to make a new thread about his app for him...come to think of it where'd he get my email address?

When someone sends a private message it goes to your email.

Craiglook is still around and fully functional. It just has a new name;

Look again right under the Claz banner, it clearly states CL searching is no longer supported, read the blog, Craigslook is dead dead, and Claz is just as dead...

Searchtempest is real unstable and inconsistent now. It screws up distance limits constantly, and frequently manages to not display listings.

These days, nothing works craigslist very well. At least not that I've found.

Yes it did but I found this link that makes it still work on Chrome and Chrome only.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/craigslisthelpe/
I DL'ed Chrome specifically for this reason and it is the only thing I use Chrome for.

TOO COOL!
I just found a working file for Firefox and Safari
http://sourceforge.net/projects/craigslisthelpe/files/

This a great service. It is not a website but rather changes the way CL functions when you go to the CL regular website.
This old site will give you some education on how it works and what it provides.

Just be patient when you go to CL because with the picture preview and all the functions the pages load a little slow and suck down some bandwidth.

I'm trying to download Craigshelper for Firefox and having problems. My computer won't open the downloaded file. Claims it needs to know how to open it?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

I got a new lap top a while back, and was super bummed when I went to add the extension after installing Chrome on it. I had been using Craigslist Multisearch extension, with Craig's List Preview. it opens a new tab for everywhere you set it up to search, but it sucks compared to Craig's List Helper.

Yeah, I did that. Can't get it to open. In fact, there's no obvious means of starting the program?

Strange, it works for me.
I click on the link then it gives me three choices (one for Foxfire, chrome or safari)
After picking Foxfire then it gives two download options, I just pick the first and it tells me in 4 seconds that the program will start.

You do have the Foxfire Browser on your machine?
If not, you will need that first.

Awesome news on Craigshelper, that was by far my favorite Craigslist add-on. I'll try the newer version...

Okay, this is killing me. I need a national search engine for Craiglist. Is there anything available?
