I was driving my 79 RX-7 a couple of days ago and noticed the odometer was about to hit all eights. About ten miles later it did,and I pulled over on the freeway to take a picture of it. I did the same thing many years ago when it rolled to all 7's. The odd thing is I looked into when I took the first pic of the 7's,and it was exactly five years, and one day before the all 8's. I guess I don't drive the car very much. Well anyway I don't know how to hotlink, but here is a link to pics of the odometer.

[edit] Never mind, sorry. Looked fishy, though. To hotlink a picture, click on the picture of the camera right below the "Your Comment:" title in the reply area. Then follow the directions in the popup.
fishy??? What is fishy?? I'm a Dork man not a canoe.

I figured that out which is why I edited my post to say "never mind" and added the instructions on how to hotlink. Sorry.
I always say I'm going to do that, then miss the picture by a mile or two...
"Look, here's my car at 100,003 miles!"
I missed 1/4 million on my Accord by 5 miles. I took the pick anyway.
I am the only one old enough to remember Herb Tarlek taking a picture of his odometer when it went to 100k miles? Don't remember the car, though, but I've got the impression it was some sort of Chrysler.

250005 is really cool. You see 250000 all the time.
I would have waited until 250052 so it would at least be a palindrome.
Der Jetta had just passed 142241 when it became a reef. The camera I took the photo with was in the console...
meh...
i still remember 7/7/77, 8/8/88, 9/9/99, and 10/10/10!
I took a pic of my corollas odo when it hit 123,456 but I cant find the pic now. It must have been on the phone previous to my last one.
I really need to drive this car more. I love it so much, but it seems I never drive it as much as I want. Maybe I should do an auto-x or two with it?

Just rolled over to 100k on my way home from a summer internship.
I do like the older cars that have 1/10th mile readouts for both the odometer and trip odometer. I would always try to match them up.

Went over 200k yesterday on the Mustang. Only 6300 more til I put my two hundred thousandth mile on her (bought with just over 6300 miles on her, lowest mileage car I've ever bought).
