Not sure if this is allowed. I obviously have no connection to newegg, but this is a fantastic deal for anyone that doesn't have a dash cam. and If you don't have one, you should.

Yeah, I was just thinking about a dashcam. My last one died and I keep wanting a new one. Ordered two, one for each regular use vehicle.
I read the Amazon reviews, seems the battery swells in the heat and pushes the LCD screen out. These are refurbished, so maybe (hopefully) that's fixed. Regardless, they're less than 1/2 the price of what they were new. I just ordered a pair, thanks!
Thanks! Ive been looking at dashcams and this was less than half the price of a new one at amazon. worth the price at that.
Dash cams seem to be disposable, in my experience. We have four vehicles to cover, and all of the cameras that I had are dead.
This looks like a good deal, but I'm in Florida, so I'm concerned about the heat and the Lithium ion battery.
If it kills the camera, that's one thing, but I wonder about fire risk.
Yeah why not. I was gonna get my first one soon anyways. My only worry will be routing the power wire.

Cable is plenty long FYI. I run it off of my 12V plug in the center console with length to spare in my Focus.

All of the video is broken up into 3 minute segments to keep individual files small enough. Do you like your track footage in 3 minute segments?

Depends on the track...

A billion! That's an impressive number. Could you link us to one of those billion that you've found to be the best one?

You can change the segment length to be up to 10 minutes.

I'm not sure about insurance discount. Remember the camera is a double edged sword. It could also prove (or at least imply) your guilt too.
Do you really want USAA to then know you have a camera?

Yeah, pretty much useful for a he said / she said kinda thing. Proving fault in an accident, etc. but don’t forget about the entertainment value of sharing the crazy things you see on the road.
