Ok this is just dumb and I like nascar. I like it a lot. But they might as well put them on a figure eight track at this point.
I do really like the cars being at least kind of like the street car.

Maybe I should hook up my TV. Why is everyone's posts an hour behind my phone? Off to look at other time pieces.
I tried. I really tried to get into it. I just couldn't.
I was the same way with the 24 though too so it's not just a Nascar thing.
Maybe I'm just over all of it.
I hated watching Gordon race, I hate it even more having to listen to him. DW gets on my nerves. The racing sucks. The cars suck. It's all just terrible.

I am not in to it like I was but that is true for all racing. Thinks like kids a wife a job and s house and all the responsibility’s that come along with that have not let me be immersed in racing like I once was. I have however over time learned to enjoy it when I have the time to watch it. I am good with this new normal.
As usual, winner by attrition. Too many competitive cars taken out that could have had a shot at the win.
But, that is factored into team strategy.... hey, let's get out front before the big one.
I know, I know, it's all part of the restrictor plate game.
Congrats to Denny
I think they should be limited teams to $500,000 for cars in a season. Include motor r&d etc. you bend your super speedway car to bad. Make there be a penalty for driving like a dumb idiot.
One of the wrecks with the 42 car the car behind the 42 got a run and you here the spotter telling the driver to block. Well it was to late and it caused one of the big ones. The commentators kept saying it was the car that was passing the 42 that should not have tried to pass when in fact the 42 intentionally drove in to the passing car to try and block him at the spotters instruction. This really annoyed me for some reason.
I also think they need to take more aero away from the cars. Make them have to lift in the corners. Oh and make the tires harder so they last longer but cut way back on the level of grip.
In short make the drivers drive the cars.
Not down at all with the 'segements' WTF.....just race OK...but my favorite events are the road courses....the best when the hired 'guns' would show .....Ron Fellows......Boris Said....who else did I forget????
I am glad that they went to Mustangs and Crammits. And the Mustangs really do look like Mustangs, especially from behind.
I like Gordon in the booth more than I expected to, I’m glad that Michael Waltrip wasn’t there and I wish DW was home watching it on TV too.
Stage racing continues to suck. I was really hoping that it would go away this season.
Overall, I was looking forward to this race for a bunch of reasons, and I did enjoy the show, even though the last ten laps took way too long.
I like Gordon as well. I would like to add a rule for plate races. Normally I don’t have a problem with teams rebuilding cars and running for points there are times you just need to be parked. If you are involved in two cautions, even if the car is ok, you should have to park for the day. You can spend the rest of the race writing an essay explaining why you had to put your car away and then listen to the Waltrips recite it. We could call it the Kyle Larson rule.
I like Kyle Larson. He seems nice. But not just I a co-worker also got dicked around by Credit One on payments. I laugh every time he spins out. Well I don't watch anymore but I did laugh on the inside when he spun out late. berkeley Credit One.
I like the Waltrips. Especially DW. But then I used to love Murray 'muddletalk' Walker in BBC F1 coverage.
For Sunday's big race, we parked in Lot 7. It's like 10 minutes from the house. I had infield media parking but saw getting out as a mess. They had an endless loop of school busses running. We didn't wait and got to the track in just a few minutes.
Media/VIP area? Thank you very much, Sugarlands.
We also caught up with Rodney Sandstorm:
