My tow vehicle is a 1990 E250 Coachman camper van Class B RV.
In the 17 years I have owned the toilet was used once, the shower once, the cook top once and I've slept in it twice. I have used the heater twice. I nevervusecthe fridge as the Yeti cooler keeps everything cold all weekend
It's great place to sit and eat lunch as well as change in and out of my drivers gear.
We've discussed two options.
Get a custom van with a topper tall enough for me to stand up in (I am only 5' 7").
De-RV my RV. I don't care about the resale value so I could pull out all of the RV stuff like small tub and toilet as well as the heavy RV equipment. I could then have a nice changing area there as well as a space to use the van as a van to get stuff from the hardware store. It would also remove a few hundred pounds from the Van.
The only reason I am considering reconfiguring my current van is because it's a known entity. The transmission only has 5000 miles on it, the AC is brand new, the tires are only 2 years old and I have upgraded the cooling system.
