Any recommended aerosol degreasers?  Go.

The best I have ever used is the stuff Kimball-Midwest sells.  It's high in solvent and low in fillers, so it cleans things extremely well with like half the product you'd normally need.  Usually used only half a can for a degrease job.  And no residue left on the engine.  A lot of the cheaper degreasers seem to be like three quarters kerosene and it leaves everything, including the floor, an icky mess.

I forget if it was the -774 or -744 (one was degreaser, one was penetrating oil, we used both).  Expensive but worth every penny.

Alternatively, completely ignoring the "aerosol" option, Purple Power in one of those foaming car wash rigs you put on the garden hose. I bought mine at Dollar General for $20, a year later Summit sells the exact same rig I have with their name on it for $40.  It works really well, and you need to hose off whatever you are degreasing anyway.  If you want something that you don't need to hose off afterwards, brake cleaner works better.

Forget Purple Power.  Harbor Freight sells this parts washer concentrate.  That stuff beats the brakes off anything else.

The 80-774 is a citrus degreaser, d-limonene isn't cheap but it works well. That one has a fairly low amount (<10%) but enough to be effective.

Another non-aerosol but I love the spray nine grez-off, I use it for cleaning pretty much everything that has heavy build-up.

Whatever brake clean that's on sale at the auto parts store, they all work about the same.

If it's running and driving, I take it to the local car wash, spray everything down with tire cleaner, and blast it.

If it's stuck in the yard, I spray everything down with straight Simple Green concentrate and blast it with the pressure washer.

I strongly recommend one of these for the engine bay and underside. It is steerable 90 degrees with the twist of the handle and makes getting in those tight places much easier.
