On Sunday's WindTunnel, Mario Andretti was commenting on the car and he doesn't like it. He hasn't figured out yet how they can make the car turn and that was his only "reason".

Based on the 1.6? turbo Juke engine - IIRC doubled power output to around 300hp

Yes & no. That's what they are working out now. The stated goal of the new joined at the hip series was to give it a place to run.

At LeMans they tried to take away it's fuel sipper advantage, but that was just a Exhibition class run any way.

Barring its cancellation or a major rules change, the DeltaWing is not coming back to LeMans next year.

They really should paint it a brighter color. Maybe the DeltaWing team could have a look at the Ridiculous Colors topic on the main board? Or they could use some something like WWII Invasion Stripes or Israeli hi-viz triangles?

Here's a page showing SCCA Class Records at Road Atlanta. A 1:19.xxx is between a ~1000lb, ~200hp D Sports racer at 1:18.282 and a 1200-1300lb C Sports Racer at 1:19.914. Does anyone know if Road Atlanta has different configurations that might make these time comparisons invalid?

I'm sure that the Deltawing will cut a few seconds with more development, but what would a C Sports Racer do with 300hp?
