Ohhhhhhh now that is cool!!!! I have always loved Dirt!!!!!

Speaking of things Ed Where have you been re GT6? We had some good fun over there with you. We are going to start a new series in a bit as well. Probably something a bit easier to drive. I was testing a 1400kg/525PP series on race tires with fuel use and tire ware set to high. The testing so far has been great fun and there is a large number of cars that qualify for the series.

I've seen sport cars run on a 1/2 mile dirt track.

Impressive.

AMEC, in years past ran some rallycross events on a closed 1/4 mile track. The bump between 3 and 4 was fun.

I don't know if they still do it or not, but ARCA used to go to Syracuse, which is a mile long dirt track. It was always interesting to watch guys try to get pavement cars to turn on dirt.

In reply to snailmont5oh:

Not in New York but ARCA stills races at two one-mile dirt tracks every year in the mid-west.

I drove a B-spec (road racing B-spec) fit at a rallyx and it was great. I imagine spec miata on a dirt oval would be amazing

OK, well, to the point, the sim thing. I tried out the Street Stock, the only free dirt car as I understand it. It was OK, nothing outstanding though. Car just does not feel like a car on a low grip surface. I've raced dirt stocks, gravel rallying and ice racing both stud and rubber. This felt like none of them, there is just something a little off with it. There was what looked like a nice cushion formed up near the top, but I couldn't ride it and I didn't see anyone else doing it. If you went into it you just bogged, and there was no edge to it to grab. Not being able to run the cushion at the top was a real downer. And since it's just more content to purchase I'm not thinking I'm going to get too far into it.
