I liked my Audi but the growing concern of replacing the front suspension and tires along with 150k miles on the stock turbos led me to sell it. It was a blast though, but I've determined a fast car is fun but can be too much fun for DD duties, if you catch my "drift".
As a friend with a repair shop says, "Audi's come from the factory with the check engine light pre-lit."
As someone else here posted, I had a '71 100LS years ago and loved it. New ones, not so much. I want to like them, but just can't. The only R8 I've seen sounded like a Harley. Looks like a Ferrari with a gas problem!

Simple replacement.
More like, "If you lust over those cars, you're a shallow, ignorant sheep. God forbid you actually bought one. If you can think for yourself (or want people to think you can), you'll buy an Audi. (After all, we're growing faster than BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus, so get in line with the liberated sheep, fool.)
This is "Truth in Engineering?"
Audi drivers? Cocks.
Even Audi acknowledges it now apparently.

Wait.. thats the same guy who said he'd rather buy a Zr1 despite acknowledging it was a WORSE car. I dont think its a good example!

I've got Forza and an original XBox, I used an X2VGA adapter to play games on my computer monitor. There for a while I had a TV tuner card but that hasn't been the case since 2006.
I'd like a TV but I have other irons in the financial fire and I don't want to make payments. Like that Saab thread, there's a daily driver change in my future. I want to try an LSL kit on my VFR (read: I want to try a standard handlebar on my Honda motorcycle in place of the clip-ons) and a custom seat to try to make it even more all day comfortable, or I'm selling the VFR by year end. I also need to save some money up this year since the last year hasn't exactly been a solid financial experience.
Wait, weren't we here to talk about cars?
Aah, we're here to talk.
And we'll talk about that adapter if the TV packs up..I'm saving for a new nose for the Golf (and a down payment on the house), and I don't want to spend any money on a new one either.

I like the audi ad that makes fun of (Lexus?) automatic parking system (the one that parallel parks for morons who can't do it themselves), by having the audi do a 180-degree ebrake slide into a parallel spot.....
I prefer the one where the Lexus owner lets his car park itself while the Hyundai owner drives the Genesis to the Valet, to let someone else do it for him...
Lexus ads annoy me the most, honestly. All they do is talk about the 97 whiz-bang electronic gadgets that the car has.
And nothing pisses me off more than all the Lexus "hybrids."
Because nothing screams "I'm saving the earth" more than a 400hp, AWD LS600h, right? Seems like more of a guilt-relief ploy for millionaire liberals (and also lets them drive on the HOV lanes).

I can top that. I am daily-driving a 7000lb 5 passenger crew cab with a 6.6L turbo'd oil burning torque monster. I am guilt free. It has better fuel mileage and emissions than my E30. Go figure.

Hey, I don't pretend to be environmentally-friendly. Between my wife using a 4Runner for city driving to the tune of 16mpg, and my usual 21-22mpg average on the wrx.......and on weekends I drvie the GT6, which leaks oil, burns oil, and has no emissions equipment whatsoever (even the basic stuff that came on it has been removed).
and no guilt. I like dirty engines in the same way I like Five Guys fries....terrible for everyone, but who cares!

Who has so much time to waste watching TV - let alone commercials? We disconnected our cable 9 years ago and still don't miss it. Too many other productive things to do in a day.

No, no, no, to Really hijack this thread, nothing says "I'm saving the earth" more than Not having kids... Think about the emissions from your old car, compared to how much emissions and trash all your decendence will create.
I'm sorry, what was the question...

But that takes 10 seconds, unlike TV shows.

Just for that, I took two beer bottles and yesterday's newspaper out of the recycling bin and tossed them into the regular trashcan.
What you got now?
