DIY Shift Lights/Tacho

Hi Grassroots Community:

I’m a bit geeky and I’ve been developing a programmable tacho/shift indicator for a motorcycle. When I had the PCBoards made I had to get a quantity of 10 made. Now that the project is done, I have components left over and I’m interested in selling the rest of the "kits" to DIY'ers who would be interested and capable.

I’m selling at cost, not trying to make any money off of them, just thought I’d share them with DIY’ers who rather than have them sit on the shelf. A "kit" consists of the boards, wiring, and software and some wiring/solder/hookup instructions. Adding LEDs, maybe an input sensor, and packaging is left up to you. Of course I'd be happy to provide info on install/hookup/tech details.

..soooooo what's cost?

and how did you learn to make it? I have been thinking of a LCD gear indicator but I have no idea where to start.

I'm curious too. It'd be nice to build something that won't require being outside.

I bought a kit a couple years ago from jaycar.com.au that was a sequential shift light + rev limiter. Its still sitting in its packaging in the garage tho I think the kit was under $40 shipped from Australia to PA, but now i can't find it on thier website... Thing is it only supported 4 LEDs, i think.

I like what you've done w/ your kit. and seeing as my bike is currently tach-less i'm intereseted in your project....
