All of these were or are seriously being looked at for a summertime purchase. Many of these have been on and been thrown off the list several times. I’m still not ruling any of them out. All but two were/are manual.
I don't know but all my car purchases so far started out as careful research then end as an opportunistic impulse buy of something probably not even close to what I started looking for.
Right now I'm considering Accords, so I'm probably buying another truck if past habits hold up.

I’ve owned 3 off your list, relatives of 3 others, and shopped a couple others once or twice. Seems like you fit right in.
I will say the majority of that list is stuff I would consider buying too.
Also if we have a list for how many times we've changed our plans for a project car, I might win that one.
In reply to Daylan C :
Thank you for reminding me of the Accord!
No, you're not alone. I cross shop all kinds of stuff. Last time for me here are a few I was considering (there were more): Kia Cadenza, Mustang (V6 or GT), BMW X1, Honda Accord, Chrysler 300
I'd change my mind a lot too if my list was that boring.

I hope to be as cool and interesting as you someday!

The variety alone makes it interesting!
At least you don’t change your mind on the way home after purchase like I usually do
I bet if I actually mapped out my consideration path it would look similar.
I have a knack for starting with a couple key goals, doing some research and then going down tons of different rabbit holes as I see different comparos and related topics. Next thing I know I am completely away from where I began so I do it all over again lol.
My most recent purchase started out strongly considering a 335i or G37 and I now have a GX 460 haha. At least I still like it after a few months?
I just reread my list because I added a couple and realized that 2/3 of them have been either my home screen or my lock screen on my phone. Which proves to me that I’m at least a little obsessed. That and the fact that I’ve sat through literally hours of amazingly annoying YouTube videos trying to learn all I could about most of these cars.
God there’s some annoying E46, G35 and P71 owners making “5 things I Hate About My (insert car here)” videos out there!
The worst part is that in my research, I’ve actually stumbled on threads I’ve started or commented in months or even years earlier! Several right here on GRM and had since forgotten!

Yes...No... Wait, maybe?....No.... Yeah.... Or at least I think you do..... I'm not sure.
I've been told several times, "you can't cross shop these it is not even comparable." Not my fault I can't decide between living with a Prius, small SUV, midsize sedan or Muscle car.
To answer the original question in my honest opinion it just means that you are unique just like the rest of us.
Im pretty bad about this.....
I shop like the same 4 vehicles all the time so that list looks like a mess too me. Sadly I sometimes buy things I'm not even shopping for
Really right now I can't decide on V6 4 door Accord, 5.3 GMT800 2wd. Or a WJ Grand Cherokee. Honestly the GMT800 is what I want but I've seen too much sloppy mechanics so the scope creep on that will get crazy quick. And commuting 43 miles to work in a turbo truck with a fender dump exhaust will probably get old quick. I'm going to sell off some of my current fleet before I buy anything else though.

I have to agree with todd on this one.
To me that is a pretty boring list. But the last 10-11 years the cars I've owned consisted of:
'88 325 with an S52 swap
'91 318is
'06 350Z
'10 Speed3
'90 Miata track car
'13 Mustang GT Track Pack
'06 Miata
'15 BRZ
'13 135i
Econobox and/or commuter cars, which is most of that list, don't get me excited. It's not about being a snob or being too cool for school. I'm hoping the end of this year, I'll be shopping for a '20 Miata or Mustang GT or maybe even a Supra.
In reply to Daylan C :
The Accord is bordering on “sleeper” status.
In reply to z31maniac :
You know this forum is filed with cars that started out as boring econoboxes and were modified into something much more fun right?
Isnt this Grassroots Motorsports after all? I guess I could buy a C6 Corvette and not bore anyone with my list but I’d be faking it.
In reply to ebonyandivory :
I'd probably leave it mostly stock and use it as a comfy mile sponge. No racecar project antics there.
In reply to Daylan C :
Solid plan but at least you could get up to 65mph pretty quickly
In reply to ebonyandivory :
Oh it would probably still get the "wheels and exhaust are not a build" treatment.
