Do we have a preferred brand of scales?

Currently I take the Datsun to be corner weighted and on the F500 I use bathroom scales as the car is only 640lbs.

Without scales I tend to do the corner weights on the Datsun about every 5 years or so (not good) and I would like something more accurate for the F500.

I've seen Proform for as little as $700 and for what I need Longacre or Intercomp are around $1100.

So do we have a preferred brand?

I just bought the preform wireless ones.  Right around 850$ shipped.

They are very nice and well made.  

Only had them for a few weeks, but I am impressed.

I use bathroom scales on much heavier cars. 10-1 levers make the math real simple and increase capacity enough to handle most race cars.  
Yes have everything flat and level is very important. But even a concrete garage floor can simply be leveled. Flood the floor with water.  Let it dry off and measure the water depth when the high spots dry out. ( squirt a drop or two of soap in each puddle). I use flooring tile and plastic shims. Cutting a square of plastic from various sheet thickness.  Then I mark where the spots are and bag up the tiles/ plastic shims. Mark each bag Spot A B C D.  The scales slide easily on top of the plastic so I know nothing is binding. 
     On my Black Jack special with knock offs I had a set with the center cut out.  Then a center stand with a 5-1 torque wrench.  That was my quick and dirty way of checking the car if I raised or lowered the ride height.  Torsion bar suspension. ( some tracks require higher ride heights to keep from bottoming )  in a few minutes I could confirm the right corner weights.

My garage floor is actually level. No idea how this happened but it is.

I've use both intercomp and longacre.  I can't say as I have a preference.  My own are Intercomp.  They work and hold calibration.

Another vote for the Proform Wireless scales.  Mine have been great.

Could you explain further on this? Perhaps on another thread unless Tom doesn't mind. It sounds like something I could afford if I knew the details. Thank you

Ruggles Scales is another term for this method

Don't mind at all. The last time I looked at Ruggles Scales I think they were half the price of the standard ones. 

My Datsun sees very little change so I normally just take it to a guy who sets up race cars whenever I make a big change. 

The only reason I'm considering them now is because we have 3 cars that can be adjusted so it's starting to make sense. Granted the F500 is light enough I've been making do with bathroom scales.
