I have some ideas, and I think that the time has come. Help me find a Europa, or maybe even a dead Esprit.

Just wait til it is your turn with the free Europa that has been floating around here for years. I'm pretty sure everyone will own it at some point.
There's a decent-ish shape Europa TC for sale out here - well, it was for sale on ebay and missed the reserve twice, so I don't know if it's still for sale.
Mind you, it sounds like you'd want a cheap one and this one isn't...

You could fly to Ohare and rent a vehicle to tow it home since it comes with a trailer.
Actually now that I think about it, there was a Renault engined Europa for sale not that far from here, too, for a lot less money. That didn't get any bids on the bay either...

Yup. I'm pretty sure the words "I've finished the Europa!" have never been uttered...even by Lotus.
I have nothing to add other than I love this place because you can legitimately ask a question like 'Does anyone have a spare Lotus laying around' without being laughed out of the forums.
I've got a spare TCS, but I'm saving it. I'm not a hoarder, honest, it's just in line after the other Europa and the Seven.

Dr. Hess might get closer than anyone else, but then again one shouldn't hold their breath when talking about finishing a Lotus project car.

Even Chip Foose couldn't honestly say that on the Europa episode of Overhaulin'
I wonder if they ever got that one running right.

They should all come with trailers. How else would you move them around? Pushing?

RE Amemiya says you're wrong......its probably the most complete and most "reliable" europa in existance, and it even has a rotary.

I've actually been making progress on the S2. I'm doing body work now. Worked on it all last weekend. I have one quarter panel about 95% done. Of course, every time you sand off one section of paint you find more stuff to fix.

Refresh my memory on the details.
There is one running Europa. I see it parked in the garage at the Poughkeepsie train station a few times a month.

That one sounds way too nice for me.

Wally, what color is it?

Probably the only time it can ever be said someone traded a Moped for a Lotus, and the Moped was the better deal.
