Things I should have told myself...

FTFY.
Ran when parked 10 years ago? How about "Beef cow. Very large, lots of meat. Was alive and well when it fell into the lake 10 years ago. Will need to drag out."
no smoke. Does that translate to "not currently on fire"?
Just saying, I would expect a car that likely won't currently run to not smoke.
However, if the body is solid, I say go for it.
I believe that's "pas de fume" on this car. If it was British, "no smoke" would mean you were ready to back-order some special Lucas smoke to replace the missing stuff...
You want to buy an 81 Le Car for $200? Wouldnt it just be cheaper and less painful in the long run to just pay a dominatrix $200 to whip you?
Didn't somebody have an old joke about seeing a running but wrecked one and finishing the decal so that it said "LeCarcass"?

I thought on British cars "no smoke" meant you were out of oil and/or coolant?
