Rented the car, made the trip to KC, back to Great Bend, wrong axle. He is on way to Tulsa. Will hang with us til we run, take his truck to Great Bend, load and drive back to San Antonio.
Paula and I are so bummed for Ed and Bob. We broke down between Amarillo and Tulsa in 2011, and had to fetch our truck in Topeka, drive to Bristo Oklahoma to get the car and then run to York, Pa. Ed and Bob are in the middle of that headache/heartache trip. Beating yourself up with the woulda', coulda', shoulda's. I'll spare you the texts leading to the last two. Last texts from last night to Ed I wrote, "You could have a regret too. And, right now you don't." To which Ed replied, "true - we had a blast while it lasted."
