I know a few of you have been down this road, so hope someone can shed some light on this.

So I am sorting through all the bit I have to re-assemble the E-Type rear suspension that I did not take apart.

Spent the day figuring out the outer fulcrum. Yeah, the whole day, seriously. Cause mix of parts from different cars and suppliers. This thing is like a potpourri of jag bits.

Pretty sure I have the bearing stack shims  and seals figured out for proper bearing end-float. Got the Yoke to -bearing stack shims figured out.

What I can not figure out is why the fulcrum shaft sticks out beyond the yoke? Should the shoulders of this shaft not define the amount of "Crush" on the yoke ears when the shaft bolts are tightened? Do I have the wrong fulcrum shaft?
