E46 BMW Used Parts Source?

My co-worker needs a valve cover for his 2000 BMW 328i. I can't in good conscience let him buy a new one from the dealer but am striking out on car-part.com.

What are some decent BMW used parts sources, especially, west-coast-based?

Do you know what happened to their website? I saw an article about BMW engine swaps in GRM, and I can't find anything else.

I was going to suggest Bavarian Auto Recycling, as seen in that ebay link. Don't be afraid to make an offer, I just got a pair of axles from them for my 328i for about 25% off the asking price. I thought I was lowballing them, and they took the offer :).

No idea. The place has been for sale for a while, but as best I can tell it's still in business.

Tell him to bite the bullet and buy a new one. They're $250 from the dealer and I'm sure he can find it cheaper if he searches.

I'm starting to see cracked valve covers on the m54 engines, curiously none of the older plastic m52 covers have the problem.
