Anyone have any experience with these...? Looks too cheap to be good...

ITB on EBAY...

OBX stuff can vary pretty wildly in quality. Their products are almost always knockoffs of decent stuff; i.e. their BMW exhausts are all SuperSprint copycats at 1/4 of the price and many people like them. Their diffs on the other hand have a pretty bad reputation and are not very high quality.

Could go either way...but no matter what the castings will probably be a little rough and in need of cleanup. Honda-Tech seems to have some knowledge on them...but that means going on Honda-Tech...

Just how lucky are you feeling today?

Yeah OBX is a pretty sketchy brand, and ITBs are tricky and temperamental enough when they're good quality...

In reply to SlickDizzy:

IIRC, some guys in the focus community actually figured out that just replacing or loctiting the fastners on the OBX diffs made them pretty good for their application.

Yep. I've been told to swap the hardware out and red loctite it, good to go.

The belleville (spring) washers and case bolts were the main problems with the Neon ones, IIRC.

At least there will be an alternative when the Quaife supply dries up.

New hardware and loctite. Your pistons will thank you.

I've got a spare set of ITB's from a 4age 20v silvertop if you're interested.

I can't comment on the ITB's but I have a pair of long-tube OBX stainless headers on my 6.0 in my truck. Very, very good quality. Had them on for almost 3 years now. They have held up very well and must be a decent grade of stainless because they've seen 2 winters now and lots of heavy towing and they still look good.

I realize that this may or may not apply to other items in their arsenal.

there was a site a while back that had a kit to bring their diffs up to quality for fairly cheap. I don't recall what it was though.....
