So I'm beginning the exhausting process of making a ford motor work in a fiat. I have the pretty complete harnesses for both but I definitely don't want to keep all the stuff from the motor in the car. It no longer has AC, radio, door locks, power windows, abs, etc and the fiat harness will remain for lights etc.

I have a Haynes manual and another downloaded version I found online for the ford harness but the wire colors aren't matching up on known component connections I labeled at disassembly. Where does one find an accurate wiring diagram for a 1990 ranger with a 4.0?

Try bbbind.com they have wiring diagrams that i think are out of mitchell or alldata. They have always been pretty good. They will ask for your email but i have never received any junk from them so dont let that scare you away.

You only need the motor harness for the ford to make it run

I know. All I want is the engine harness. The problem is that the diagram I have lists wire colors coming out of the room that don't exist on my harness. Like seriously. The colors listed aren't even there......

Maybe what I really need is a pin out for the end plug. ..... any idea where I could find that?
