Can be. But it also can be a lot more expensive, if you have not done it before. And it's highly unlikely that you will be able to take less time than the rest of the industry. Or magically be able to do it better not having ever done it before.
Again, buying a fixed number of years/units gets money flowing to allow you to do your own work.
As seen on the Elio website today, they are stating there will be a mid 2016 launch ... we'll see, I guess.
