Entrusted with selling my elderly neighbor's two Buicks. The Regal hasn't been driven since 2005 probably, the Lacrosse 2012. Both one-owner GA cars. Lacrosse odo is dead but had 11k miles in 2011 and hadn't been driven much, if at all, since.

Regal is an '84 or '85 3.8 Limited, can't remember. Lacrosse CXL is 2005, 3.8.

The Lacrosse should be straightforward, have it on a battery tender, if the battery is gone put a new one in, new tires, and detail it. The Regal, not sure if they're worth more than pennies.

Put the Regal on the local dirt track forum/ faceboook list as these have all been sucked up years ago around here.

A Rust free 2 door G-body should be an easy sale to an enthusiast, be it circle track, drag, or street.

The W-body sounds to be a basic DD, perfect CL fodder.

Thats what i was thinking. Thr lowrider scene would love that.

As mentioned, the G body will be in demand assuming the frame is solid (look around the rear axle). I'm not sure what a solid but neglected garaged one is going for now, but I definitely wouldn't start too low.

Thanks guys. The G-body frame should be solid since it's an Atlanta car, never seen road salt or sea air. I don't know what to make of the surface rust on the trunk and left quarter.

Never seen a carbeurator in my life so don't really want to mess with it, and after tires and a battery I'm in more than I want to be and haven't tried to get it running.

Yeah if the rear frame rails are intact its worth something as a starting point for a project. I havnt played with a g body in 12 years but im guessing with the popularity of donks that they went up and not down since then.

Donks and small block drag cars. Strangely huge in thr hood street racing scene.

The Regal could also be a great body parts donor for someone restoring a Grand National. Regardless of how, the car has value, just need to find the right person.

I too would love that Regal.

It will clean up very nicely, give it a good detailing. I'm sure it'll sell for more than you think, especially in the ATL.

Thanks guys. Not sure how much I'll ask for it, hard to gauge. I can't sell immediately as we can't find the title and need Power Of Attorney from the elderly lady to her daughter. It's not going anywhere though.

Thanks for the info on the rear frame rails, I'll check but I'd be shocked if there was a speck of rust being an Atlanta car. I'm a bit concerned about old fuel in the tank and the carb.

Happy to pass on any offers to the owner.

It's funny, back when the owner was still driving it, in 2003 or so she told me that every time she did Wendy's drive through or had the grocery bagger take her cart to the car they would always gawk and offer money for it.

In reply to Cotton:

It's a nicer car than it looks in the pics, definitely a good detailing, bumper trim, battery, and tires away from being a really nice survivor.

It's identical to the car my mom had when I was growing up. Same colors and everything. Being a kid I only entered and exited it by climbing through the windows, like all the NASCAR drivers did. She did not appreciate that.

i could use the doors and a few odds and ends from it for my T Type.. that tilt column would be a nice upgrade for me, and it's the right shade of blue. so is the plastic piece on the top of the dash that covers the defrost vent and dash speakers..

are you certain that engine is a 3.8? the 4.1 looks identical but had a 4 barrel quadrajet carburetor on it.

which transmission does it have? it could be a TH200, TH350, or TH 200-4r overdrive trans in 84 or 85..

Regal looks like it oughta clean up well, once over on the mechanicals and a good detail. Be a nice DD... or build a grandpa car sleeper.

that is the farthest thing from a parts car i've seen in a long time. if anyone buys it to part i'll hunt you down and kick you in the junk

I also grew up with a regal like that, though ours was black on burgundy and didn't have a vinyl top.
