Just wondering if anybody here has ever used these (or similar), and if they would be considered a safe option for a daily driver (vs. installing longer lug studs).

Situation is this…. I’m picking up some 16x8 high offset wheels for my car, which normally wears 17x7’s.  According to the model-specific forums (remember when those were a thing?!) the wheels in question will work BUT a small ~1/4” spacer is needed up front, lest the rim contact the TRE at full lock.

On this particular car I’ve noticed the stock lug studs are pretty darn short (ran some open end lug nuts on it once in order to fit some aftermarket 17’s with slicks at autocross).

I’m thinking this ”ET” style lug nut will give me enough extra threading to safely run the small spacer I’ll need, without the hassle of complete suspension/wheel bearing disassembly in order to replace the lug studs.

Thoughts??
