It's certainly a lot more comfy to drive the van out instead of the Neon -- A/C, leather seats, room to stretch, a radio, under eleventy billion decibels, a bed if I need a nap. The bigger benefits, though, are that I can have tools and such in the van and don't have to unload/reload the car, and if anything happens to the car, I still have a way home.
But, yeah, the mileage sucks: 15 in the van v/s about 40.

I won't be in MR, but I'll be towing my car out next year. I've already booked my hotel room :)
Hopefully you booked a room in Nebraska and not Tulsa.

haha! Yes, I did. It looked like there weren't any decent places right near the speedway, but I found a something-Suites hotel that I could cash in my Priority Club points for a room about 15-17 miles from there.

Dibs! (I'll throw in some $ over the weekend)
I have my tow vehicle now...I just have to make it capable of towing.
I thought you sold the Mini.
Yea, the Mini was just overkill for towing. I decided on something a little simpler.
Wait, you sold the Mini? When did I miss that.
Bought my trailer today. Now I just need a car.
Yea, it just needed more and more work. I needed the money to get the Miata in shape for next year.
