Designed by Glenn Curtiss, the Aerocar later became the Air Stream RV Company.  Saratoga Auto Museum held a free show on the lawn today, nice event but hot.  This particular Aerocar was at a Packard dealership in Albany, NY hooked to the back of a 1930 Packard.  A couple wanted the Packard so bought both, the 5th wheeler was never camped in, mostly lived in a garage.

I could fill about four pages with pics I took this morning but will limit my enthusiasm to a few you guys may like.

Camper has a door on the back and one on the side, bench up front and the two side couches become a bed.  Head and galley at the back.  The 5th wheel pin goes through what looks like an air filled tire on a rim.  Tire is boxed in so fore & aft or side to side movement is dampened by the tubed tire.  Clever.  Trailer as seen weighs 1600 lbs.

Cool. Is it wrapped in leather?

Never seen an Otas, built in Italy using a Fiat 850 drivetrain.

The 911 with orange hood and frunk was left by Steve Harris to run errands and stuff while his air cooleds are at the museum.  Today it fetched lunch and water for the crew.

In reply to OHSCrifle :  This one is, I'm assuming it's original.  I found a 1934 for sale and below the belt line is wrapped in aluminum.

Gorgeous Packard, a Coupe Roadster, one of the most desirable bodies. Disc wheels are very nice.

Cobra must be a big block car. I've never worked on a 427 but I restored a genuine 289 Cobra and the fuel filler is in the middle of the panel between the cockpit and the trunk lid, not the rear fender. There is not really any similarity between the two other than the shape.
