Agreed, that's why mine will have a 600cc motorcycle engine in it.

Than I think you should look more into the retro-monoposto concept. A 600cc in a cyclekart would be really scary
Some inspiration:
After the buildup I guess I was underwhelmed. There was only one really noticeable over-steering corner and a lot of steering wheel work where a lot was going on but the car wasn't moving around that much. That said, something was lost once we went to wings on racecars. The open cockpits and skinny tire made for a MUCH more visually enjoyable experience. Yes the new cars go much faster but for me, the races aren't as exciting to watch as the old stuff.
While Julian Mazjub is a top flight vintage racer if you really want to see a guy flog an old car check out the 1905 Darraq running up the hill. The driver reeeeeally saws at the wheel. (I'd post a link but it's late and I pretty much fell off the back of the tech turnip truck).

That was the car I couldn't remember the name of. Note the license plate hanging under the axle.

That's one of the car's saved to my ideas folder. Since it will all be custom anyway I'm planning vintage looks like the old grand prix racer yet smaller like a cycle kart. How small will depend on what I need to make space for. It will be a two seater and the occupants will sit lower in the chassis than a cycle kart or a grand prix car.
