I have been been slackin lately so I figured I'd post an update on the MX-Missle as I call it.... :)
Well The biggest update is the car has been fitted with a new Suspension, I got the KSport Kontrol Pro 36 Way Adjustable Coilovers used with like 2000 Miles for a great deal (THANKS AGAIN Brandon!!!) Also swapped out the FD RX-7 Rim/Tire combo for a set of RX-7 Convertible BBS wheels. The rubbing and clearance issues have now been addressed. This was a night and day difference!!!! Next will be Poly Bushings, Timing Belt Service, Removal of MSD BTC (I think its the cause of my rich running and other related issues)....
Heres a few pics before and after the suspension and at an Autocross last month. Enjoy :)

After

On ALapHD I recorded a .96g on some pretty thrashed Hankooks here :)

Thanks for posting! What's the engine, the 2.5 KLDE MX6?
Have you had any issues with the distributor? I've owned two of these cars, had to buy new disty for both.
I haven't upgraded my suspension yet, but it's in the plans. Taken it lapping a couple of times, but with the stock GS 1.8. Looking forward to getting out there now that the KLZE is in.
i believe, based on the title, it's the turbo motor from the probe/mx6.
love the combo, good work.
Today's business is I started on readying my extra Wheels to refinish.. I'm thinkin Charcoal Grey Metallic with polished Lips :)

Don't do that anymore. HEI mod that thing.
Are you using MX6 spindles on that also, somehow? How did you convert to 5-lug? Maybe you mentioned it and I missed it.

Is that paint out of a rattle can? It looks like what I did my interior in.

I've always been fascinated by these car and it's legos like parts bin. How good on mpg is it with that engine?
I would probably own one of those if it weren't for the fact that I have not seen a nice one in person in 12 years. Of course, most Mazdas from that era which are still motorvating are beat to crap now, but for some reason the MX-3s seems to be even more raggity nowaydays than the other contemporaneous Mazdas. I have my hands full, anyhow.
In reply to Merc:
In my 626 Turbo I would regularly pull mid-30's on the highway with a personal best of 40 mpg across a lot of KS. If the build is conservative I bet he could meet or beat my numbers.

What a great idea, the stock brakes suck mightily!
Wow, those wheels are gorgeous. Totally envious.

Probably because the poor things are usually beat on by obnoxious teens and twenty-somethings with sideways baseball hats. It is possible to find a clean one if you look long enough.

My car is pretty mild and got 27 on my last trip to OH. With it running 100% I'd say its do considerably better.

Despite mine being a bordering-on-dangerous rustbucket... it was one of the best-driving cars i'd ever driven.
Until i crushed it.
They're pretty awesome.

I was lucky, I found one with no rust. It was however, painted with atrocious red boat paint.
