Do you mean George or Cesar Romero? I didn't realize they were car guys, I bet they would love an Alfa Romeo if they are.

I've been waiting for them to re-enter the US market for some time now. When was that supposed to happen? 2005? 
I thought they were back. (8C Comp, anyone?) Or did I miss something?

Well, being part of the Alfa club, and various chat boards- the return has been two years out for the last decade and a half.
In reply to JeepinMatt: I saw a new Alfa at Lime Rock's Vintage Festival last fall. Looked liked the 8C, but slightly different. And it had the largest diameter stock wheels on a non-truck vehicle I've ever seen, 22"? Wrapped with bandaid thick tires. Ugly. It DID have a regulare plate on it. No dealer or manufacturer plates. Might be you can buy a legal US one, but you have to order it, and wait a while. Maybe not back in the American market in the regular sense of the word, but, lots have changed since the economy tanked. CAR is a great magazine. It seems British auto journalists can did up the slightest bit of minutia on almost any car.

Exactly - don't they know it's spelled "Camero"?
I have seen new alfas here and there. not the Spider or the 8c though. So I know they are doing testing for US tastes.
