I want a Momo Bennetton just to hang on the wall. That thing is wicked.
A couple of my old vwwortex buddies had those "Harlequin" Golfs ("Golves"?). They'd all get into bidding wars when a Bennetton showed up. Having a wheel that matches the car is nice.

Domino's did the delivery thing. Supposedly they started with a fleet of Red/White/Blue Trans Am Javelins, hence the MC paint scheme on the Domino's Indy cars.
Makes for good folklore, although the Domino's CART schemes were the reverse of the AMC paint...
Another good usage of the JPS livery.
Couldn't find a color pic, but to go along with the aforementioned Hendrick Goodwrench Corvette GTP, the Peerless Budweiser livery that David Hobbs and Jack Baldwin ran in a few races late in '88.
Liked this livery, as well as the version on the previous year factory Trans-Am Berettas.

Still think this would look good (sans decals) on a street/track plaything of this generation Camaro.
Surprised this livery hasn't been mentioned yet.

Wow great pics!! Sure brings back a lot of memories. Seriously.....how many other forums could come up with so many oldie but goodie color schemes?

That's because the Domino's delivery cars were clones of the 100-built street Trans Am Edition Javelins:
AMC used the scheme R/W/B and B/W/R (in fact, the 68 and 69 SCCA Trans Am Javelins were both) and even vertically.

Durr, shame on me. Forgot about the reversed pre-Penske Javelins.
Thanks for straightening me out.

I like the Frisselle IMSA Datsun Z. The 70's in color and attitude.
how, might I ask, is it permissible for this thread to have gone on for 5 pages without any mention whatsoever of the Alan Mann Racing livery?
seriously 'yall, one of the best looking liveries to ever end up on a Mk. I Escort or Cortina, and it's taking this long to surface?
oh, and I was a particularly big fan of the Gold Leaf Lotus 49C...
Neer heard of Alan Mann, but I was about to post the very similar Bobby Allison colors
You could always go with the Bobby Allison version of the BRE 510
Alan Mann was (still is?) the most successful British touring car championship driver.
The Gold Leaf lotuses always intrigued me because I am an advertising major, and they were the first to carry "title sponsorship", and nobody had ever painted their car the colors of the sponsor.
old Porsche 917 looks good...
I was watching a show on the greatest Rally cars and was reminded of how much I like this one:
And anything looks good on this car:
Always liked this paint scheme on Tony's first ride in NASCAR.
Really, it's just the standard Marlboro livery, but you can't help but love it because of what it's slathered on. Just some Aussie family cars...

I figured since we are now on page 5 I can start posting other racing liveries - I think my faves have already been put up.
Looking at those Holden pictures I just posted - I think I just realized why I use Castrol GTX in all my cars that don't get synthetic. Sneaky!

This is awesome, because it looks like what all the ricer-types try to emulate.
