If I recall at the time, when the VW issue broke, there was talk that other companies had been implicated as well. I'm guessing this is part of that outcome.
No wonder ole Serg wanted to "merge" with someone/anyone so bad! A patsy to foot the inevitable legal bill that is coming FCA's way soon.
