This is just me being stoked on my miata finally looking race car after almost 2yrs of flogging it mostly stock.
Here she was with a set of fresh 195/65/14 star specs on daisies
And here she is now with FCM elites and 15x9 Advanti Racing Storms on 225/45/15 Maxxis RC1s

Looks good!
(Guess I'll be a little more boring).
Looks good. I sort of want to upgrade the wheels on mine, but I think I enjoy sliding around on the skinny stockers too much to do it.
So.....a hairdresser with large feet and a deep voice? Kinda makes you wonder.

Lol. But seriously, looks good
Hey I never felt it was, but I can't count the number of times I got that comment.
I'm sure your original much more internet sarcastic comment was great Svrex almost sorry I missed it ;P
I am really impressed with the advanti's not terribly expensive and seemed pretty light (12.3 lbs a wheel or so for a 15x9)
Maybe I should have titled it "finally looks more like a race car :P"
I was going to post a picture of my car to show what a new set of shoes can do...
But mine has the same wheels, nice.
Are you running any spacers up front?
I've got some skinny ones in to give clearance at full lock.
No spacers, but I did roll the fenders. I haven't heard it rub at full lock but my first autoX on the new setup won't be until may 9th.
I did some full lock turns in both directions on an industrial cul de saq no rub.
I do have some hubcentric rings for them but I cant imagine them really acting as a spacer?

I will admit thats a blast, I will need to put a new set onto my old daisies at some point a) they are corded and b) those RC-1s would be dangerous in the wet. My car is pretty much autocross or rare weekends only anyway
Whenever I get around to getting a daily driver I'll probably go re-71's. The s-04's were bad enough this winter lol. That's awesome they're so light... Wish my Breytons were that light
In reply to Jaynen:
Nah, rings won't do anything.
Huh, I had a little rub (on the inside of the wheel) at full lock before dropping a spacer on it.
For sure pulled the fenders and even trimmed some of the liner.

When I had my Miata and I used to get the "gay guys car" I never tired of pointing out to the person that the most people that knew such rules would only know so because they played the game.
Whatever you need to tell yourself..
I have never seen a gay guy driving a Miata, at least the flamboyant ones, anyway.
I do keep a backpack in the car with autocross essentials, maybe that's my purse.
It looks better in the picture, darned white paint flaked like mad even with the heat gun usage during rolling the fenders.
I didn't cut my fender liner, so could be the tires or the suspension setup why mine doesnt rub? I think I may have overrolled the fronts tho it looks a big flared from the front.

I bought my current purple Miata from one of the flamboyant variety. He also rented a booth on weekends to do hair. Not even joking.
He was very cool about it, though. Even stated "Yes, i DO hit the stereotype jackpot." Many lulz were had.

I noticed the picture in stock form was a cloudy/overcast day.
But with big meats at all for corners the sun was shining.
Total coincidence lol but same spot of beach. It's the way I go when traffic sucks (especially in the miata)
Looks awesome! Those wheels fit nicely.

As for the whole gay thing, I know some gay guys who drive Miatas. I also know gay guys who drive big pickups. So?

I'd love the martini paint job and a few other bits from yours :)
Last I saw it looked like you went to the 15x10 6uls? Or was that an older pic
I've got some 15x10 Jongbloeds to go with my 245 Maxxis. They haven't been run yet, I need to do some body modifications to fit the big rubber. Right now, it's still rolling on the 225/45-15 Toyo RR with the same Storms you have.
