ouch. I had something similar happen just after I took the drive-out tag off my Mustang in 05. Except it involved a deer and most of the side of the car.
At least it was only cosmetic damage, right?

Of course the Fiat is an auto, this is North America.
The initial time estimate was "at least two weeks" so I am not going to expect it back too soon. Hit hard enough that they want to put it on the rack and check.

Well Since awful seems to be the theme for the day, I did not want to wreck the trend.
That said, the Fiat is a lot more interesting than some of the other Kias and Hyundais that were on offer.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some unibody damage behind that fender, but it shouldn't be too serious. A couple hour set up on the rack, and a pull or two at most.

For whatever reason the guy at the shop said the words "new door" Not sure why that would be required. As to "letting them put filler in" its not like they ask.
Anyways, the way it works here is I get to pick the shop I want and it is at one I like. The company was on its way to sending me to one of their preferred shops before I cut them off at the pass. So lets see where it goes.
FYI bodyshop rates are now over $100/hour, so this is not going to be cheap!

She hit you, presumably her insurance is paying for it? If so, they ought to be renting you something better than a Fiat 500. They're supposed to "make you whole", and driving a non-equivalent vehicle for a month doesn't count.

A good shop won't ask -- they'll just refuse to do it.
