Not to nitpick, but the 3 liter car did not start until 1980.  From 1975 -1979 the 911 used a 2.7 liter motor.  These had head stud problems, but almost all should be fixed by now.  The 3 liter was referred to Porsches answer to the Corvette.  It had enough torque a Corvette driver could drive one.  Thhat is if they new how to shift.

In your readers car section it appears you can add only one car, am I missing something?

I think that probably more than part of this conversation is missing Mel. I have no clue where you are coming from.

As for your second bit. You can have more than one car there:

In reply to preach (fs) :

I think it is commentary on a recent article

911 and 911S from 1974-1977 were 2.7. These did not have "Carrera" in the name.

In 1975-1977, there was also a Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 which was a different than the normal 911 or 911 S.

I have a feeling David was referring to the standard 911/911S with the 2.7. I think the number of 911 Carrera 3.0 was less than 3800 for all 3 years.
