Already tried. 86s really like to run straight into things. The closet Asphalt bumper is in Maryland .  I'm in Chicago. Oof.

on Car-part, when looking for a bumper cover look under the heading of:

"Bumper Assy, front (includes cover)"
as well as the heading of
"Bumper Cover, front"

Alphabetically, bumper assembly comes first and I find that most JYs list the covers under assembly.  However, some of these listings might say "rebar only" which means the plastic cover is gone but they still have the metal support from behind the plastic.  The expectation of Assembly is that it is the plastic cover and the metal support as well as a grille or emblem included (if those are applicable.)

I don't know about the rest of you and your insurance companies, but I've made two claims over the last decade and came away more than pleased in both instances.

Its looking like the most expensive thing will be the bumper cover. A bunch of the plastic mounts got wiped out, but the grille, mesh, turn signal, and headlight made it out ok. Fender got tweaked, too. The a bodyshop might be able to salvage it. I'll ask the shop I choose which they would prefer, fix the fender or paint a replacement.

I think I'll end up fixing this myself. I know this is what insurance is for, but I've been raked for making a claim just like this one, so I'm opting out

Did the paint on the fender get damaged?  If not, have paintless dent removal work on it.  They may not get it 100% perfect, but it'll look good.

Used bumper covers are a gamble. Any blemishes will require repair, and if someone has worked on it before you get it, you have no idea what labor investment it might need. I'd recommend getting a new one. Most every bumper cover can be had via an aftermarket vendor. They usually fit decent these days.

Found an outfit doing spray-painted OEM covers for $440 + tax. Shipping would be brutal...except local pickup is 45 minutes away. I have a lead on a correct color fender, way down in southern Indiana. Hopefully they can ship, cheap. Will find out on Monday.
