Anyone here floor mount a winch in an enclosed trailer? Looking for opinions and what worked. I'm aiming at a 9 to 12k winch.
I did in my dad’s. Used a flat plate underneath with 6 bolts to sandwich over the center frame rails as I recall. So two plates around the frame. Winch was mounted to top plate. Mounting to the plywood floor is useless. Worked great.
How thick was the metal?

Maybe a 1/4? I can’t recall but I’ll see if dad can get under it and let me know. You’re just trying to make sure it doesn’t roll on you.
