So, we recently got invited to my wife’s step nieces birthday party in Jacksonville, FL. A good full day’s drive away, and me with virtually no vacation time. We look at flights, not cheap, but not killer expensive. I Tel the wife to give me a day to finagle the time off, and go a searching. Found a 1990 that runs rough in first and second, and needs a top. Said to be fine once you are in third. A bit of rust behind the passenger side door, we will see how bad when we get there. They were asking $500, but made the mistake of telling me that it had to be gone in a week per the city. I offered $275, which is less than $25 more than the tickets home. So, now I get to drive a car that should make it back without AC or a good top, and I claim $25 so far as personal finances go. Once home, I have a hard top that can go on to keep the interior usable. Too bad I will be in school when the Challenge happens :(
