Just kidding. If one tank down then you must have at least 250 miles behind you so far. Doing good.
Got passed by a bunch of exotics including a couple Lamborghinis and a Noble. Didnt try but we wouldn't have stood a chance.
Last fill up was 18.75. Little higher speeds 75+. Outside baton rouge now.

berkeley yeah you did!

Did you dare shut it off?
Outside Jacksonville. Completely uneventful night aside from hitting a skunk carcass leaving a residual smell.
More about the car please. 302 swap we know. Well done? 5 speed? What rear gear? What is it like to drive.
Plans for the car and any major challenges to be resolved?
Made it home! Just about 1150 miles in 20 hours including the stop in New Orleans. Ended up driving straight through.
No further issues to report.

Specs on the car to my knowledge are a 2001 5.0 explorer motor. Stock with shorty headers to a pair of Walker quietflows, a V6 mustang T-5 and 3.55 rear gears. It's also got some custom coil overs that I haven't really looked at.
It seems to be well done however there is some sorting needed. The gauges are not all working and some are inaccurate. The wiring could be cleaned up and cosmetically the car is rough. The only real issue I noted is the steering shaft. There are a couple knuckles to clear the headers and it causes heavy steering effort with a manual rack.
The car drives nicely. I am not sure what rpms it was spinning (tach is off) but it was very happy at 65, a little more stressed at 75 but nothing crazy. I think a 3.27 would be about right for higher speed cruising. I'm not sure of the V6 T-5 fifth ratio however.

It'll do 100 easy but there's was no doubt about that. That's about were 4th gear tops out and I didn't want to push my luck. It pulls well in 5th. Id guess around 130 or so.

The car just left my house with Rob about an hour ago. There was a pic from the ad though.
