Looking at '01 Excursion v-10.It has an electrical problem. Out of the blue, no power. Nothing at all anywhere, even when a jumpbox is hooked up. Ideas?

Sounds like a battery cable issue. I'd check the cables and cable ends.
Fusible link(s) could be fried too.

Check the main firewall bulkhead connector (~4x4 insize) there should be a screw in the middle of it to hold it connected. if its had motor work that might have required pulling the motor they may not have put the screw back in.
similar issue happened to my 2000 f250 with the 5.4. started, drove 3 minutes to the bank, wouldnt start when trying to leave. found the factory negative clamp on the battery was cracked and wouldnt hold tight, wiggled it around on there until it kinda felt tight and got it started.
