At the point where a decent chunk of 'racing fans' refuse to take esports seriously, garbage like this will keep happening.
Hell, as we saw last week with the Pagenaud/Norris debacle, some of the *participants* don't take it seriously.
"I'm not good enough to win this video game so I'll have someone else play it for me"
Yeah. That ain't racing, where this statement can be operative.
"E-racing" is every bit as meaningless as those video car races they put on the jumbotron down at the stadium during ad breaks.
I watched more of this sim race than the last four seasons of Formula E combined. Apparently a bit of controversy is good for the show.

You're right, that's team ownership/management! Back to your simulator, plebe! Usually i say fake it until you make it but i also never say hand your boss your replacement on a silver platter. So who's signing this Hoerzing guy?
Update - Audi Sport has suspended Abt indefinitely, effectively terminating his factory drive with the team. He will not be on the Formula E grid when the season starts up again.

You can't get much more Formula Electric than doing away with the cars all together and racing some pixels around a screen.
To cheat at it is pretty funny.
To be fined €10,000 for cheating is down right hilarious.
I bet these guys can't wait to get their cars back.
