I have much curiosity here, and not just for FK. Links? Info?

So if the total price of the car is to be kept around $2000 where would you buy the frame? I've seen a lot of formula cars sell but not many for substantially less than that.
What were you thinking of for the cheap donor formula cars?

Best grassroots adaptation I saw was a few Formula 4 racers out of Ontario, there was a shop there that did their conversion IIRC. Dodge K-car oil pump driven from the MC engine alternator drive, modified and baffled oil pan, tank, plumbing etc. Another guy used a FF pump, there were more I just don't remember them all n e more. This was early 90's btw.
Major consideration is sizing the pump and speed, most automotive oil pumps should easily handle scavenge but it's driven speed may need reduced, ex: can a OEM type oil pump survive at 1:1 ratio w/ what many MC alternator drives spin at, so say 10-12K rpm. Better to drive the pump via Morse belt and pulleys so you can change the ratio if necessary. Then plumb the reservoir tank back into the stock MC oil pump pickup.
I'll look for links. I have pics somewhere but they need scanned.
K, here's a site to take a good look around, lotta good stuff there. Check out builds and links but def go through the forums, 'dry sump' search or whatever... these guys been there, done that. Classifieds too.
