The only way more support races would add to the COTA coffers is by attracting more people (I'd be more likely to return if there was more on-track action) and by keeping them at the track longer (ie, more on-track action).
Outside of F1, I've never been there. I do like the idea of a Revival type event, although I think it would work much better at a track with some history.
Austria seems like a fun track. I hope for a good race this time around.
I have a feeling it will be the MB show again with Ferrari falling further back. Unless it rains then it will be back to Redbull up front.

Lewis Hamilton, Nico Hulkenberg on front row for Austrian Grand Prix. NOT A TYPO! Jenson Button ends up 3rd. http://www.nationalspeedsportnews.com/formula-one/wacky-day-goes-lewis-hamiltons-way/
Damn, watching qualifying right now and these curbs are breaking cars right and left. Wish I could find a gif of Kvyat's crash as they had a good slow motion of the exact moment his suspension let go.

The slow motion shots as the rear ends break are just nutty.
Kimi showed his hand too early, he should have waited a couple more laps before putting down a lap.

Who else is really impressed by Button's qualifying results? Sure, two people got bumped - but starting 3rd? That's awesome.
Perfect conditions for Jensen. What tire, when?
Considering where Alonso was running for much of the weekend and where Button qualified, I wonder if McLaren has a shot at the podium if it rains
It is good that there are two Mercedes cars otherwise F1 would be boring.

For the win, sure. But there is some good racing going through the rest of the field.
Well, that last lap was entertaining. My take is Rosberg tried to push Hamilton out and it backfired. I think the damage to Nico's car occurred when Lewis came back across the curbing to rejoin the track. The post race meeting in the trailer should be interesting, too.

They didn't touch after the corner- that happened when nico didn't turn in and his wing hit Lewis' rear tire.
They mentioned that nico may get a penalty for not stopping a broken car.
Drivers regularly snap off the front wing and continue, so that shouldn't amount to much. Just watched the pass replay and you can see the wing break on the first contact, so you saw it correctly.
Nico's assertion that he can pick any line he likes through a corner rings a little hollow.
And vettle is saying that Hamilton turned in. He is a wast. Trying to blame Hamilton. He needs to be parked.
They are shredding him in extra
There was enough room between Nico's car and the inside curb for two cars to go by, so I says Nico can go sit on the toilet and cry to himself. Vettel supporting his countryman probably isn't a big surprise.
Will Buxton's question to Toto was priceless !! "With bad brakes should you brake earlier, or later for a corner?" Gotcha.
I find it funny that Lewis is always questioning the team's calls. They do seem to try to put him behind the ball so he not only has to beat his teammate but his own team. I don't think I've ever seen that happen so often in any racing like Mercedes is doing this year. Almost like they want Nico to win every week. :D
Nico wouldn't have made the corner without Lewis to push him over. Perfectly legitimate desperation move, but still on Nico, I'd say.
Merc should have either stuck with the one stop they originally planned, or brought Lewis in before Nico could undercut at the first stop. That was the move that caused the issue. Hindsight is 20/20, and all, but I was shocked to see Verstappen make, what, 56 laps on the softs? Wowsers. That kid can really look after equipment.
About the tires. I bet the were hedging there bets. If the suppers softs were to give up they had a backup car on the softs. The problem is Hamilton is not going to play the roll of backup.
Mercedes needs to move on from one of them and get a "backup" driver to stroke the ego of the primary driver.
