Plus I hate doing heater core's.
and you're not going to like it any more after performing this one. Prepare, emotionally, for a dashboardectomy.

I've done two. The third I apologized profusely as I dropped it off with my mechanic.
They suck, but there are worse vehicles out there.... I know I have done a few.
None of you has apparently done the heater core in a fox-chassis *Thunderbird*. All the hate of a Mustang with 10x more wires!
well...at least in my case, you are correct.
Just found out no A/C. Nice and light. If it has manual windows even better. Owner says "it's real fast", maybe it does have a 3.08 rearend. Might check it out this weekend.
Finally had a chance to check out the Mustang. It is mint, no rust and does have the magic 'Z' code axle. Going to pick it up next month and then tackle the heater core. Fired up first time runs well, can't wait. Until then I snapped a couple of photos. More to come...
The Mustang
Imho thats too nice to race, thats a good investment there, buy a beater to race

That's not a Mustang, that's a unicorn. Rustfree Mustang in Canada? How???
In reply to cwh:
Never seen a Canadian winter, that's how.
My Civic is gone to a new home so I now have room to get the Mustang. Shed a little tear but I'm happy to know it's going on to be a track car.
Civic is gone
IIRC if it was a factory A/C delete car the heater core is a piece of cake.
After waiting for decent weather I came home after taking my daughter to gymnastics to find the Mustang. My wife surprised me (with help from the previous owner) to have the car dropped off.
Now I just need to certify it (no problem) and should be on the road this week.
My wife is the best, but I already knew that.
Mustang arrives
Tease! The video is private!
I'll second that! Beautiful Mustang!
Thanks, I'm so pumped to get it on the road. Check the odometer and it reads 101,910 original km's. It has half as many km's as our '04 Forester. Don't worry I already put the car cover on it.
First autocross tomorrow. Unfortunately I won't have the R-Comps on yet, picking them up tonight.
I will be ready for the next one on the 26th. Pics and video to come.
Went to Mosport to watch the races today. Driving through the tunnel felt like I was hitting warp speed. Great day and an awesome drive there and back with the 'Stang.
Leaving Mosport
Some pictures from todays Regional solo in Picton, Ontario.
Awesome event using 3 runways. I was in third gear through a lot of the course.
Picton solo
Good job, very nice find, now enjoy the hell out of the Stang
having driven a 50k survivor 86 5.0 5 speed convertable the other night, i wonder why people like these. didnt handle worth a crap, not actually all that fast, lots of rattles, brakes sucked.
that being said,k it was still pretty cool. especially with three other guys and the top down.
i should probably buy it and moth ball it at 5k.....

Here's a little video from this weekends solo in Peterborough. I tried to replicate a smaller version of the Top Gear track, wasn't that accurate but it was fun. Ended up 4th out of 18 competitors (after PAX) and first in FS, since I was the only driver in FS.
Speedweekend
Very cool video. Glad to see you have having fun with your notch!

You have to go back to 1986 and look at it's competition. The Gm triplets were not any better and Chrysler didn't have a dog in that race at all.
If the car is worth it throw some sub-frame connectors at it and see how that helps. Fox convertibles need all the help they can get.
