Western Suburbs of Chicago - Downers Grove, Illinois. Corvette night usually with a lot of Mustang's, Camaro's and Corvette's. I was mildly surprised. Do you have any local car shows you go to hoping to see something different?

Doughnut Derelicts every Saturday Morning. Always something different. Typically older hot rods, but a few oddballs always show. The standard crowd is in Novas, 32's. mustangs (original to shelby to cobra from 65 to 2010)
Oddballs include v8 pinto (me) v8 chevy luv v8 vega stanley steamer 1918 Bentley Racer Toyota 2000gt Deathmobile from Animal house (car 4 of 5 made for the movie) Many different factory projects getting opinions -This weeks was an older chevy (55 or 57) with their Erod motor to show case what can be done. It may get good mileage, but is not pretty at the moment. Needs covers to go over all of the wires.

I scan ebay once in a while and the prices are really high.......
I'm really happy to see more and more local GTGs welcoming all who show up. Good times for all!

Friday nights on Uni is the typical musclehead show... occasionally you see something worthwhile. Sprayed SBF Pinto, SB? MG, GT-A making really mean sounding supercharger noises, etc etc. Most of the Japanese stuff doesn't show anymore, because too many of em got busted for street racing and gave the rest of us a bad name.
Pretty sweet. RI cruise nights are generally agonizingly boring. All of the usual suspects, rarely anything very different.
I did see an immaculate Saab 900 at one recently, which was refreshing. Thought of GRM when I saw it.

I belong to a cruise club (Juke Box Cruisers - Jim Thorpe, PA). My Shelby Dakota is my usual cruise vehicle.
