Fun car Friday

It's Friday,  so the Jaaaag was called upon for some fun.

I love how strongly this Cat accelerates.

Wound up meeting my brother at a Cruise Night 40 miles away

I drive this as much as possible. 
 

Then when my inner six year old takes over I have the Tonka Truck. 
 

What's the weight limit on those ramps? Yikes!

Either 2 or 3 ton each Maybe more.
 

Ok I just looked it up and they are rated for 6,500 lbs each.  I have put much heavier things on them. They are close to 30 years old. My daughters gave them to me when they were 4 & 6 years old.

Bumping this thread up, it's Friday.

Drove my Lincoln MK3 into work today.  Going to hit up the cruise in at the Sonic tonight after work.

unfortunately due to weather, i cannot partake today. however, maybe tomorrow for date with wife!

i also need more info (build thread, perhaps) on this magnificent beast!

However, cliffnotes:

11,000 original miles, 1 owner when I bought it.  13,800 now

All I've done it to it is maintenance, wheels and tires, and stuff to give it better drivability (electric fans, 3G alternator, just put on a Street Avenger 770 CFM when the factory carb started having internal leaks, exhaust)

It's a phenomenal cruiser.  I've wanted this car since I was 12 (now 28) and was finally able to make a deal in 2018.  This is a forever car for me

1968.5.  Technically, there is an early production 1969 and a late production 1969, this is an early one. But as far as I know the Grenoble Green paint was only used on the early production cars.  If you look up the paint code on the door and apply it to the 1969, it says it's supposed to be yellow / tan but if you look it up for a 1968 it shows it as Grenoble Green.

It's got some 1 year, unobtanium stuff on it.  Namely the super short offset water pump and crank drive power steering pump.  I ended up machining a readily available late model water pump and making custom hoses.

This is an excellent idea. We have a single car wide driveway so the NB lives in the garage behind my Xterra and the wife's Mazda6. As a result, it doesn't get driven as often it should. This thread has motivated me to take it to dinner tonight. Especially since this is probably one of the last dry Fridays of the year.  

Day late and the morning sun is harsh, but it's out of the garage

How does this work once the salt comes out?

This is unacceptable. There are occasional nice weather days with salt on the roads. I need more of this fun car, especially during such times.

Dark days are coming, and I demand a solution!

Get a beater, possible fun in the snow, that you dont care about its preservation.  Maybe 4x4.  

C1500 again yesterday

fun car Friday saw me taking the neon through the national forest, playing cat and mouse with a porshe, and he ging out with the guys that now own my white neon in a diner till they threw us out.

It was a good day.

C1500 day.

Dude at Wendy's was into it, ev4n grabbed a coworker to check it out.

Pretty sure it was Finnegan that said something along the lines of if your rig isn't cool enough that people want to talk to you about it then you're doing it wrong 

Took the Power Wagon out this morning to the parts store. The counter kid's eyes were bugging out of his head, so I had to show him the truck. 

Taking it out later on to a buddy's place for a little garage party. Was going to take the Trans Am, but the heat doesn't function right now. Gotta fix that!
