Bike for me, but I've been riding it the whole week. Got a small amount of thunderstorm on the way home today, but thats ok! Still worth it :-)

I've been taking the Mustang to work since Wednesday. Since we sold the Forester XT, my wife has been using the Civic. Getting on the highway has never been so much fun, not so much for fuel economy...

Just drove the volvo today. The fun car couldn't fit the cooler for the after work BBQ and the other fun car is sitting waiting for the engine to get back from the machine shop. Oh well. Drove the BMW after work with the top down. :)

The wife takes the fun car but I did get to go scrub the bugs off and wash it so that weather permitting we can go to Lime Rock on sunday.

Thanks! It's funny, it was never meant to be my DD. I found "Blue Bird", as I call her, perusing ancient CL ads a couple of years ago and dragged it out from behind some dentist's barn down near Clemson, SC. One of the windows was down and it had rust...issues.

I replaced the gas tank, all the rubber brake components, the carburetors (had a set of SU's laying around) and the window. It fired right up, and didn't seem to smoke or leak anything. Stuck on whatever tires on 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern wheels I had laying around, and it entered my daily rotation.

Since moving to MD its gone from "occassional" to "almost daily" driver. I've replaced the battery, and put on some better tires (the rear tires are 215/70R14 on some wheels from my stalled '49 Plymouth project). I also removed the stock fan and installed an electric fan, and added a rear defroster and a CHMSL. Everything except the odometer, dome light, and horn works. I removed the rear seat, since I often use it for runs to the hardware store and supermarket.

It's still rusty as heck underneath, but until the seat is in danger of falling out, I guess it doesn't really matter.
