Was sold for $8250 at Barret Jackson Palm Beach in '09. The listing is a typo, it's got a 3.3L making 385 HP.

Scan from an old Hot Rod magazine article about it:

There was also a V8 AWD, and V8 FWD with a "mystery V8"

385hp?!?!?! berkeley!!!!!
No, it proves that turbos make any car better, and AWD is icing on the cake. Why Subaru doesn't offer an STi version of all of it's vehicles is beyond me.
Wait... it's still a Beretta, right? So... an AWD'd turbo'd piece of E36 M3.

I would so drive that. Very cool. It just goies to show you that GM can make interesting stuff, they just do not have the will to sell it.
Let's not bag on the General too much, GM has recently given us:
C4 Grand Sport
C4 ZR-1
C5 Z06
C6 Z06 + ZR-1
400hp+ Camaro SS
Cobalt SS Turbo
Pontiac G8 GXP 6 spd
Caddy CTS-- CTS-V--- CTS-V Station Wagon!
Caddy -- XLR
Chevy Volt
I'm no GM apologist, but they have produced some of the best performance cars ever made, and occasionally deserve a "tip of the hat".
I don't see another car company out there with the balls to put a 556 hp station wagon on the market! Kudos to GM (for some things at least)
In reply to Joe Gearin:
That is true, I would love a CTS-V wagon, but it does hurt a little to think GM could have sold a cool WRX fighter that many years ago.
I guess like everything else it goes in cycles. They gave us the Buick GN, Typhoon\Syclone and all of the small turbo cars from the 80's but up until fairly reciently they have put out mostly boring stuff. I don't hate GM but the world needs more cool interesting cars that don't cost a fortune.

Lets not forget the (I thought it was cool) S-10 Xtreme, Solstice/Sky, new Regal GS, and hopefully a Cruze SS soon.
And the Syclone and Tyfoon, those were amazing vehicles in their day! Hell, they're still pretty awesome.
And don't forget about the twin-engined Citation X-11 that the GM skunkworks produced in the 80's
I've seen this car at Amelia Island and the Turkey Rod Run and it is damn cool.

I agree with the rest of your post but AMG c63 and e63 wagons count imo.

true......but the Caddy comes with a clutch pedal, which makes it more appealing to me. I'll agree though that the AMG offerings are insanely good ---- with pricing to match.
