I need some various parts for my FC RX-7 (rotors, pads, etc). Other than the typical chain stores, what good online suppliers exist? Who have you used that you liked?
I found these folks (Auto Parts Warehouse) and the prices seem decent. Any feedback?
summitracing.com has some good clearance deals, as does jcwhitney.com
Another question. I'm interested in Hawk HP+ brake pads. Rock Auto doesn't appear to carry them. Any suggestions?
I'll echo RockAuto. I've had nothing but good experience with them, and their customer service is superb if you ever need to call them,
Another vote for RockAuto. Once you order from them you'll get emails from them when they have clearances on parts for your car. I've gotten name brand brake pads for my Cougar for $7, tie-rod ends for my 280Z for $6, etc. Shipping is very reasonable too.
They don't have any performance parts, but their selection of stock parts is pretty good.

Rock on with Rock Auto.
Even when i got a bum part (in tank fuel pump) they were good about replacing it.

When looking for specific performance parts when I have a particular part number in mind, I usually google it, check price+shipping at a few suppliers that have the parts IN STOCK and pick from there. This worked out quite well when I bought some EBC high temp pads for a Grand Am (brake swap onto the Olds Achieva SCX for 24 Hours of LeMons)...pretty odd application, but I found somebody I had never heard of that had the exact part I wanted in stock for a reasonable price. I hate waiting for places to restock or that do drop-shipping through the manufacturer once a part becomes available, as sometimes you can wait several weeks to get parts, so I really try to order stuff that is in stock. That's the great thing about rockauto.com; they have stuff sent straight from the warehouse AND can tell you if it's in stock or not, great combo.

Rock Auto stiffed me on shipping (computer error, charged me like $115 to ship an "oversize item" that showed up crammed into a standard box costing $11 to ship) and gave me no trouble in remedying the issue and refunding the difference.
I'd have no problem buying from them again.

Great idea. Thanks!
And Rock Auto certainly seems to be the consensus winner.

If you don't want to use a no-name site for the Hawk pads, Tire Rack carries 'em. Every now and then they run a sale on them.
